Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: 06/16/2026

This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") is incorporated into the Signilio Terms of Service and applies to all users of the Services. By using the Services, you agree to this Policy. Violations may result in suspension or termination without notice and, where appropriate, legal action.

Our position

Signilio is built for legitimate, consent-based business messaging. The rule is simple: message only people who agreed to hear from you, make it easy to opt out, identify yourself, and keep content within the law and carrier guidelines. If you run compliant outreach, you're welcome here. If you don't, this isn't the platform for you.

Sender requirements

All senders, regardless of message type, must:

  • Obtain and document consent. You must have valid consent from every recipient before messaging them, consistent with TCPA and applicable law. Maintain records of how and when consent was obtained, and provide proof on request. Consent obtained through third parties must meet the same standard.
  • Honor opt-outs. The platform recognizes and processes STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, QUIT, and END (and similar) and blocks further messages to that number. You must not attempt to circumvent opt-out handling, and you must not message numbers that have opted out.
  • Identify yourself. Every initial message in a program must clearly identify your business. Do not impersonate others or obscure your identity.
  • Disclose frequency and rates for recurring programs, including "Msg & data rates may apply" where required.
  • Complete A2P 10DLC registration accurately for your traffic.

Prohibited content and conduct

The following are prohibited regardless of consent or registration:

  • SHAFT content: sex/adult, hate, alcohol (where prohibited), firearms/weapons, tobacco
  • Cannabis, CBD, or related products
  • Illegal drugs or controlled substances
  • Predatory or deceptive financial offers, including misrepresented rates or costs, undisclosed or hidden terms, false guarantees of approval, or advance-fee schemes
  • Phishing, fraud, deceptive practices, social engineering, or spoofed sender identity
  • Messages to numbers that have opted out or are otherwise blocked
  • Unsolicited messages to purchased or non-consented lists
  • Spam — repetitive, irrelevant, or nuisance messaging
  • Harassment, threats, or abusive content
  • Messages that misrepresent your identity or business
  • Any content unlawful under applicable federal, state, or local law

Continuing to message a contact after they opt out is a violation of federal law and grounds for immediate termination.

Platform abuse

You may not: attempt to bypass, disable, or interfere with platform security or compliance features (including opt-out handling, filtering, or rate limits); fake sender IDs, delivery confirmations, or responses; send traffic that overloads or disrupts the Services or our providers' infrastructure; scrape or extract data from the Services without permission; reverse engineer the platform; or use the Services to build a competing product.

Vetting, high-risk use, and enforcement

We may monitor account activity, message traffic, opt-out and complaint rates, and carrier feedback to enforce this Policy. We may require additional vetting for, restrict, suspend, or terminate any account, brand, campaign, or use case that we determine — in our sole discretion — presents legal, regulatory, carrier, or reputational risk, or generates elevated complaint or filtering rates.

For non-egregious first-time issues we will typically contact you and give you a chance to remediate. Intentional violations, repeated opt-out failures, prohibited content, or fraud may result in immediate termination without notice. We may report unlawful conduct to carriers, regulators, or law enforcement and disclose related account information as part of an investigation.

We enforce this Policy to protect every sender on the platform: one bad actor can damage carrier reputation and deliverability for everyone.
