10DLC Registration, Explained
Everything sales teams need to know about 10DLC: what it is, how brand and campaign registration work, why campaigns get rejected, and how to keep traffic flowing after approval.
10DLC (10-digit long code) is business texting from ordinary local phone numbers. It's what most sales teams want, because a text from a local area code reads like a conversation rather than a broadcast. It's also regulated: since February 2025, US carriers block business traffic from local numbers that haven't been registered.
Registration has two parts. Brand registration establishes who you are: legal name, tax ID, address, website. Campaign registration describes what you send: the use case, sample messages, how recipients opt in and how they opt out. Both are reviewed before you can send, and both are checked against your website and your actual traffic afterward.
Most problems trace back to a handful of causes: business details that don't match public records, a website that doesn't clearly show how people consent to texts, sample messages that don't match the real ones, or traffic that drifts away from the registered use case. Getting these right up front is the difference between approval in days and weeks of resubmissions.
The guides below walk through each stage. Signilio handles brand and campaign registration as part of onboarding, so you don't have to work through it alone.
