Privacy Policy

Last updated: 06/16/2026

Signilio LLC ("Signilio," "we," "us," or "our") operates a multi-tenant SMS messaging platform (the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we process, how we use it, and the choices you have. By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

Our role: processor and controller

Signilio plays two distinct roles depending on the data:

  • As a controller, we determine how we handle your account information — the data you give us to open and operate your Signilio account (your name, email, business details, and billing information).
  • As a processor, we handle the contact and message data you upload and send through the platform on your behalf and under your instructions. You — the account holder — are the controller of that data. You are responsible for having a lawful basis and proper consent to message the contacts you load into the Services, and for your contacts' privacy rights. We process that data only to provide the Services to you.

Information we process

Account information you provide:

  • Name, email address, and password (stored hashed)
  • Business name and related business details
  • Billing information (card details are handled by our third-party payment processor; we do not store raw card numbers)

Data generated through your use of the platform:

  • Messages you send and receive through the Services (content, timestamps, sender and recipient numbers, delivery status)
  • Contact lists you upload or create
  • Campaign configurations and settings
  • Opt-out records for recipients
  • Delivery logs and carrier response data
  • IP addresses, browser and device type, and access logs

Communications with us:

  • Support requests and correspondence

How we use information

  • To provide, operate, and maintain the Services, including routing and delivering your messages
  • To track delivery status and surface analytics in your dashboard
  • To process billing and send account and billing notices
  • To respond to support requests
  • To monitor for abuse, fraud, and policy or legal violations
  • To comply with our legal obligations and enforce our agreements

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your message content for advertising, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

When we share information

We share information only as needed to run the Services or as required by law:

  • Service providers. We use third-party service providers — including infrastructure/hosting, messaging and carrier delivery, and payment processing — to operate the Services. These providers process data only as necessary to perform services for us and are bound by confidentiality obligations.
  • Regulatory and carrier registration. To send business SMS in the US, brand and campaign information must be registered with The Campaign Registry (TCR) through carrier channels, as required by CTIA standards. We facilitate submission of the registration information you provide.
  • Legal and safety. We may disclose information where required by law, court order, subpoena, or government request, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to prevent fraud, abuse, or harm, or to protect our rights.
  • Business transfers. If Signilio is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to confidentiality protections.
  • Carrier or regulatory review. If a number, message, or campaign is flagged by a carrier, regulator, or legal authority, we may review related account activity and disclose information necessary to address the matter.

Data retention

We keep information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Services, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. In general:

  • Account data: retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period after closure
  • Message and delivery logs: retained for a limited period in the ordinary course; earlier deletion available on request where not legally required
  • Billing records: retained as required by applicable financial and tax law
  • Opt-out records: retained as needed to honor opt-outs and prevent future contact

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by contacting us. Records subject to legal retention requirements cannot be deleted early.

Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information, including encryption of data in transit, encryption of sensitive credentials at rest, hashed passwords, access controls, and audit logging. No system is completely secure. If we become aware of a breach affecting your data, we will take steps to contain and remediate it and will notify you as required by law.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under California and other US state privacy laws), you may have rights to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Request deletion of your personal information (subject to legal retention requirements)
  • Obtain a copy of your information in a portable format
  • Opt out of non-essential communications

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at admin@signilio.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Note: where Signilio acts as a processor of contact data you uploaded, requests from your contacts about their data should be directed to you as the controller; we will assist you as required.

Cookies

See our Cookie Policy for details. In short, we use only essential and functional cookies necessary to operate the Services and remember your preferences. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Children

The Services are for businesses and are not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy. We will revise the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide notice as required by law. Continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
