Alternatives
7 RingCentral alternatives for sales teams
RingCentral is a fine phone system, and for a company that wants calls, meetings and a little texting under one roof it is a reasonable buy. Teams look for an alternative when texting is the job: seat allowances of 25 or 100 texts, a Booster for the inbox, a separate product for campaigns and registry work you do yourself. Here are the platforms built for that, with each one's published entry price.
1. Signilio our product
from $34.99/mo (Starter) for 1,000 textsSignilio is a compliant bulk SMS platform for high-volume sales teams: mass texting campaigns, a two-way team inbox, and 10DLC registration built in. Plans in dollars, not credits, from $34.99 a month — every feature on every plan, carrier fees included.
- Pricing: monthly plans in dollars with texts included, $0.040 down to $0.030 per extra text, carrier fees included, every feature on every plan
- Users: 2 seats on Starter, 5 seats on Growth, 15 seats on Pro
- Numbers and 10DLC: 1/3/10 numbers included, extra $1/mo each; registration handled during onboarding
- Inbox: two-way team inbox, replies assigned and worked together
Best for: outbound sales teams that want a bill in dollars, every feature without a tier upgrade, and the compliance work done for them.
2. OpenPhone (Quo)
$19.00/user/mo (Starter, minimum 1)Quo, formerly OpenPhone, is a business phone system with a very good shared inbox, priced per user with unlimited calling and texting under a fair-use policy. It is not a campaign tool: its own pages say mass texting is not available, group texts stop at ten people, and automated sends cost a cent each. For a small team that texts conversationally from a shared number it is excellent value. For a sales team sending campaigns to a list, it is the wrong category, and the estimator below prices only what it can, the seats.
- Pricing: Per-user monthly plans with unlimited US and Canada calling and texting under a fair-use policy; no mass texting; automated texts through the API $0.01 each
- Users: Priced per user: $19, $33 or $47 a month on monthly billing ($15, $23, $35 annual); Starter up to 10 users
- 10DLC: Quo files 10DLC for you; the registry's $19.50 one-time fee and $1.50 to $3 a month per campaign are passed through
- Inbox: shared inbox included
Best for: A team phone system: calls, voicemail transcripts, shared numbers and a clean inbox, from $15 a user.

3. Google Voice
$10.00/user/mo (Starter, minimum 1)Google Voice is a phone line, and a good one for a small team already on Google Workspace: $10 to $30 a user with unlimited US texting for real conversations. It is not a texting platform, and Google says so in plain words: messaging is for interactive conversations, it is not intended for bulk messaging, and sending the same text to many people can get you blocked. There is no campaign tool, no shared inbox and no 10DLC registration. Signilio's plans start at $34.99 a month for 1,000 texts on registered local numbers, built for campaigns and the replies they bring. If you have been blasting from Google Voice and getting restricted, that is the reason.
- Pricing: A per-user Google Workspace add-on at $10, $20 or $30 a month with unlimited US texting for conversations; not for bulk messaging, by Google's own rules
- Users: Per user: Starter $10 (up to 10 users), Standard $20, Premier $30; a Workspace subscription is required
- 10DLC: No 10DLC or A2P registration is offered; Google Voice numbers are not business-registered senders
- Inbox: no shared inbox
Best for: A cheap business phone line for a small team already living in Google Workspace.

4. JustCall
$39.00/user/mo (Team, minimum 2) plus credits from $0.019JustCall is a sales calling platform with texting attached: per-user plans with a two-user minimum, a few hundred segments per seat, and SMS bundles that get down to about a cent a segment at 47,500 a month. Add the seats, the $10 monthly campaign fee, an AT&T surcharge it does not quantify and registration you do yourself, and a texting bill is several lines. Signilio's plans put 2 to 15 seats, carrier fees and the texts in one dollar price, with registration handled. If your reps dial all day and text on the side, JustCall's dialer earns its seats; if texting is the outbound channel, the estimator shows the difference.
- Pricing: Per-user plans with a two-user minimum and a few hundred SMS segments per user included, plus prepaid SMS bundles for volume and 10DLC fees passed through
- Users: Per user with a two-user minimum: $39, $69 or $109 a month on monthly billing ($29, $49, $89 annual)
- 10DLC: Self-registered in their compliance center: brand $46 one-time, campaign $15 one-time, then $10 a month for a standard campaign ($2 for low-volume mixed use)
- Inbox: not published
Best for: Outbound calling teams that want a dialer, call recording, AI coaching and texting in one seat.

5. Kixie
Not publishedKixie is a sales dialer first: unlimited calling, a power dialer across up to four lines, call coaching and CRM sync, with texting as a feature on the side. It publishes no prices, so there is no bill to estimate; its support center says texts are billed per message on top of the seat and numbers are $5 a month after the first. For a team whose day is calls, Kixie's dialer is the product. For a team whose outbound channel is texting, Signilio publishes its plans, from $34.99 a month for 1,000 texts, with seats included, campaigns to a list and registration handled.
- Pricing: Quote-only per-user seat plans (Professional, Single-Line PowerDialer, Multi-Line PowerDialer) with unlimited US and Canada calling; texting is usage-billed on top
- Users: Per-user seats; prices not published
- 10DLC: 10DLC registration required; fees not published ("ask your provider")
- Inbox: shared inbox included
Best for: Outbound calling teams that want a multi-line power dialer, voicemail drop, live coaching and deep CRM integration.

6. SimpleTexting
$29.00/mo (500 credits) for 500 messagesSimpleTexting is a polished SMS marketing tool sold as a monthly credit plan with three seats included and carrier fees billed on top. Signilio is an outbound platform priced in dollars: monthly plans with texts included, 2 to 15 seats by plan and carrier fees included. At small marketing volumes SimpleTexting's bundle is simple and competitive. For a sales team sending tens of thousands of texts a month across several reps, the lower per-text price on the larger plans, the included seats and the included carrier fees usually make Signilio the lower bill, and the estimator below shows the exact gap at your volume.
- Pricing: Monthly credit plans from 500 to 50,000 credits, $10 a month per local number, carrier fees billed separately
- Users: 3 users included; $20 a month per additional user
- 10DLC: $4 one-time carrier registration on a local number and "10DLC registration guidance"; no monthly campaign fee published
- Inbox: shared inbox included
Best for: Subscriber marketing to an opted-in list: keywords, autoresponders, drip campaigns and list-growth tools are the core of the product.

7. EZ Texting
$25.00/mo (Launch) for 500 messagesEZ Texting prices by the size of your contact list, and every plan below Enterprise includes the same 500 credits, so a sales team's real cost is the plan plus overage at 3 to 4 cents a message plus $10 for every extra seat. Signilio's plans are in dollars, from $34.99 a month for 1,000 texts to $189.99 for 12,000, with carrier fees included, every feature on every plan and no list-size tier to outgrow. EZ Texting's guided setup and included carrier registration are genuinely good for a first SMS program; at outbound volume the overage and seat charges are what decide the bill.
- Pricing: Monthly plans priced by contact-list size, each with the same 500 credits, plus per-credit overage; an Enterprise short-code tier from $3,000 a month
- Users: 1 user included; $10 a month per additional seat
- 10DLC: Carrier registration included and handled for you; high-volume vetted registration $90 one-time, waived on Scale (their FAQ)
- Inbox: shared inbox included
Best for: A first SMS program with hand-holding: onboarding, templates and compliance guidance built for teams new to texting.

How to choose
Start from what you send. A marketing broadcast to a list that opted in on your website is what most texting platforms are built for: keyword opt-ins, subscriber growth tools, scheduled promotions. A monthly plan with a bundle of credits fits that well and is predictable at small volume.
Outbound sales texting is a different job. Volume is higher, every reply needs a person on it fast, and the team works the conversations together. There, the bill is decided by three things: the real cost per message once you are past the bundle, whether you pay for every rep who needs the inbox, and whether 10DLC registration is handled or handed to you.
Compare total cost per message with every fee included, at the volume you will actually send. The pricing guide explains segments and the fees that hide in a "cheap" rate, and the cost calculator tells you how many segments your message really is.
Common questions
- What is the best RingCentral alternative for a sales team?
- It depends on what you send. For a team running outbound campaigns at volume and working the replies together, a platform priced in dollars with a shared inbox, every feature on every plan and 10DLC handled for you — which is what Signilio is — usually fits the workflow better than a marketing-broadcast tool sold in credits; compare the bills at your own volume, because the cheaper one depends on it. For subscriber marketing to an opted-in list, a marketing-first platform may fit better; each option above says who it suits.
- Why do teams move away from RingCentral?
- The reasons we hear are the ones on this page: a monthly bundle that gets expensive as volume grows, charges for extra users or extra messages, and a product built around broadcasts rather than two-way sales conversations. RingCentral is a good product for what it is built for; the question is whether that is what your team does.
- How hard is it to switch platforms?
- Harder than it should be on most platforms because 10DLC registration has to be redone for the new provider. Onboarding is white-glove. We'll register your brand, configure your numbers, and get your first campaign out the door with you.

RingCentral figures are from its published pricing page (https://www.ringcentral.com/office/plansandpricing.html), checked September 25, 2026. Prices and plans change; we update this page when we notice, and you can tell us at admin@signilio.com. Signilio figures are the rate on our pricing page.
- RingCentral's own pages give two overage figures for texts beyond the allowance ($0.0085 in older articles, $0.0119 on the current rates page); the current rates page is used.
- The 50-versus-100 recipient cap for app sends differs between RingCentral's FAQ and its datasheet; both are quoted.
- Carrier surcharges are not itemised and are not in the estimate.
- The 25 or 100 texts a seat includes are not subtracted from the estimate; on 10,000 texts that is under $2. The $25-a-user Business SMS Booster for the shared inbox is not added either, so the estimate understates RingCentral for a team that wants an inbox.
